Universal Autosports Glen Cove, New York (Long Island)

First Impression: 4.1:  Upon arriving at Universal Autosports I was shocked to see where it was and how small it is. Across from a quaint Subaru dealer on a small street, "a hole in the wall" some might call it. This dealership looks to small for what it actually has to offer.

Interior: 7.3: Through the large double glass doors you enter into the marble covered main room. To the right is a small waiting area for children and to the left is the basement service area and what looked to be a second floor entertaining area. Walk straight into the next room and you find another waiting area and a loading bay for cars to drive up onto the showroom floor. Overall a fairly welcoming and roomy showroom.

Car Selection: 5.8: Universal Autosports Is the only authorized Koenigsegg dealership in the United States. For this reason I was a little dissapointed that there wasn't one on the floor. Most of the cars on the floor were interesting though. Mostly ferraris dominated the small showroom, but this place always offers something weird. For instance on this visit they featured a new Chevrolet Camaro with a Corvette ZR1 engine dropped into it. Parked in the loading bay was a suped up mini cooper. The most exciting car though was a '73 Ferrari Daytona in blue. This was set right in the middle for everyone to see, and what a sight. This car selection rating was boosted by the "Dealer Surprise"

Dealer Surprise: 7.8: A little disappointed in Universal Autosports I made a last ditch effort to save the visit and asked to go downstairs to the service area. Make sure you do this!!! A man named Luigi who works in service was kind enough to let me look around. In the corner lay a morsel of greatness. A black Koenigsegg CCX. In the service area were many cars being stroed for the winter including a Porsche cup car an old Mercedes Gullwing, and a Lamborghini Countach. Many competition Ferraris were waiting for the next race along side old supercar memorabilia was a fantastic sight.

Overall: 7.3: Universal Autosports is defiantly worth seeing if you are in the area but don't go out of your way to visit.
